Vittoria Colizza to take part in Inserm's Scientific Day in Washington DC

To mark the 60th anniversary of its founding, Inserm is organizing a Scientific Day on October 29, 2024, at the French Embassy in Washington, DC. During this scientific day, Vittoria Colizza from the SUMO team will take part in a round table entitled “Emerging infectious diseases: Bridging Transatlantic Efforts”.

This scientific day's program will include both scientific and institutional sessions to offer a panorama of the institute's achievements and future initiatives. This special occasion will highlight the key moments of Inserm’s history, its international influence and its long-standing, fruitful partnership with the United States.

At round tables, Inserm will discuss with its international partners its ambitions to meet contemporary challenges. Major announcements will underscore the Institute's determination to pursue its dynamic role in international biomedical research:

  • new collaborations with leading American institutions,
  • award of an Inserm prize to a leading researcher,
  • strengthening of the Inserm Washington office,
  • launch of the Inserm Abroad Scientific Network.
