COVID

Epidemiology research on COVID focuses on modeling work, study of factors associated with infections caused by coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-1 and 2 and MERS-CoV) and evaluation of therapeutic strategies against these infections.

Presentation of the research field

Since January 2020, the IPLESP teams have been conducting research on the new coronavirus in a wide range of fields: modeling, surveillance, population epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, therapeutic evaluation, social epidemiology. This work has resulted in more than 350 publications, some of which have been published in prestigious journals (Nature, Science, Lancet, ...) and their results have been communicated during online seminars available on the faculty's YouTube channel. This research theme is particularly central for the teams involved in communicable diseases, SUMO, CLEPIVIR and THERAVIR.
