Social determinants of health

Mental health, addictive behaviors, immigrant population, violence, social inequalities

Presentation of the research field

Recent health crises have shown that social inequalities in health and the social determinants of health have a major impact on access to care, treatment, severe morbidity and mortality, aggravating the burden of these crises in certain sub-groups of the population (people in precarious situations, migrants, etc.) compared to the general population. The theme of social inequalities in health is of interest to all the teams of the unit but it is particularly central to the research activities of the ERES team.
