Inauguration of SUMOC - Sorbonne Université Modeling Outbreaks Center, 29 April 2025

The inauguration of SUMOC, the Sorbonne Université Modeling Outbreaks Center, will be held on April 29, 2025. This event marks the launch of a center dedicated to modeling and surveillance of infectious diseases, drawing on over 30 years of excellence in public health research. SUMOC aims to enhance preparedness and response to epidemics, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and train future public health leaders. It will conclude with an “International perspective on outbreak preparedness and response,” featuring insights from global experts. A cocktail reception will follow at the SUMOC premises.
