Congratulations to Katharine BARRY, one of the laureates of the L'Oréal-UNESCO Young Talents Award

The L’Oréal Foundation, in partnership with the French Academy of Sciences and the French National Commission for UNESCO, announced the laureates of the 2024 France Young Talents Award, L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science, for the 18th consecutive year on October 8, 2024. This award aims to recognize promising young female researchers and accelerate their scientific careers.

Katharine Barry was honored among the 35 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers awarded this year. This recognition highlights her commitment and the quality of her research, which explores how inequalities affect health, particularly for women, and examines the role of family policies in parental mental health as well as the impact of different pre-school childcare arrangements on child development. This distinction marks an important milestone in her academic journey.
